About Starcraft II

Starcraft II has taken so long to come out that it has seemed ridiculous for avid gamers everywhere that enjoy the RTS genre of games. Since so much time has gone by, Blizzard has put it to good use by making Starcraft II the greatest real time strategy game to date. The whole game is now more balanced between all races and has introduced new units as a means of destruction and power to overthrow your enemies.

Single player mode for campaign play is great and is so extensively long, they had to split the game into 3 parts so that they can fit everything in! You can even use some of the older but obsolete characters when you make maps in the new fully customizable map editor which allows you to create anything from first person shooter style games to board games. Blizzard put a lot of work into this editor and it is many times more powerful than that of the previous Warcraft series map engines. This makes the possibilities for online multiplayer play endless and will provide just as many years of entertainment and more than the original Starcraft.

Many of the units in game are designed to have their own special abilities and tasks for use in game. Depending on the race you choose, the equivalent unit in another race can be much stronger, faster, or useful because of the various different levels of balance that blizzard has introduced into this masterpiece of a game. It no longer takes professionals and newer players alike to get a hang of the unit specifics and form perfected strategies to effectively conquer their enemies. Learning the units becomes second nature and once the campaigns are finished a normal player will be skilled enough to compete with the best players out there.

This PC title is what all of the fanboys and girls have been waiting for over 10 years and is definitely worth the extra costs of splitting the game into three parts. The game graphics are intense and the gameplay aspect of both single player and multiplayer will keep fans of the series entertained and on the edge of their seats as they battle their way to total domination on the leader boards. Anyone taking an interest in the title for the first time will do well to note that its predecessors were given the highest ratings as well as awards for their excellent gameplay and storyline aspects. Blizzard has done well to expand on this and create the new best thing, Starcraft II.
